weight-loss and weight-gain

March 12th, 2006

Urgh! I’m feeling SO frustrated by our weighing scales! Have stepped on them 5 times in succession this morning and they have shown that I have lost anything between 0.3 kg to 12.5 kg, and even shown that I’ve put on 1.5kg in weight! I certainly hope I haven’t put on any weight but somehow doubt I have managed to lose over 1stone in a week, but now I feel I can’t trust the scales :( . Miles says it is just enough to know that I have lost weight, and that it’s not important how much, but I think it IS important for the scales to actually be consistant. If they were ‘out’ a few pounds, it wouldn’t matter beacuse they are the only scales I use, so my weight would always be ‘out’ by the same amount and at least my weight loss/gain would be consistant. Even Miles found that our scales gave different readings depending on which room he weighed himself in! Feeling all depressed now - Blurgh!

Have been a bit hit and miss with the supplements this week too but can’t imagine that would make a difference.

On the up-side (sort of) I managed to make a veggie broth-stew-type effort last night which Miles liked but I couldn’t be done with. Possibley because I was too hungry by then. I have this odd thing about not feeling hungry by the time I’ve slaved over something, Jenny was sayingshe is the same.
